Oh my gosh, this is real

I now view meditation as key to being able to sense and perceive energy that is a part of our world but not visible to our naked eye.

I commit to near daily meditation with no expectation other than to see what happens. I have no expectations because I don’t even sometimes know what is happening to me; I just know that something is happening, and I want to learn more.

This December evening, I get comfortable on the couch in the living room, alongside a warm glow from the Christmas tree and close my eyes and quiet my mind. Before long, I sense a presence, and it comes with an inner knowing that its Dad. I feel heat and tingles throughout my shoulders and arms, and am just open to whatever arises without judgement or expectation. I then hear the words, “a joke,” followed by a long pause, and then “a joke about a mark on her butt,” and I just somehow know this is in relation to my mom.

I pick up the phone and call Mom and tell her I just had a vivid dream with Dad in it. This isn’t true of course, but I was still too fearful to talk about what I had experienced. I needed to fully believe it for myself first – all of it. I told my mom that in the dream, Dad told me there was a joke between the two of them about a mark on her rear. I asked her if this was true. Mom proceeds to tell me that they do have a joke about a mark on the rear, but it’s my dad’s rear, not her’s, and she is the one who started the joke. She relays more information to me, but this is probably a lot for the internet already. I am floored and now know that I was able to receive this message from my dad from beyond. While I perceived the words “her butt” instead of “his butt,” I know this isn’t exactly like picking up the telephone with a crystal clear connection. However, I had absolutely no idea about this intimate joke between my parents, nor did I have any idea about a mark on my Dad’s behind!

I am stunned when I hang up the phone and ever growing in my belief, yet, I still wonder if somehow, it was all one very huge lucky coincidence.
